Hyperliquid Sets Global Record with $106M Revenue per Employee
Hyperliquid, a decentralized derivatives exchange, has achieved the highest revenue per employee globally at $106 million, eclipsing traditional tech giants and even Tether Limited, which previously held the record at $93 million per employee. The platform operates with just 11 core contributors, generating an annualized revenue of $1.167 billion.
The exchange's lean structure and automated market-making infrastructure allow it to function with minimal human intervention. Trading fees from its perpetual futures exchange FORM the primary revenue stream, with a percentage allocated to treasury, token holders, and buybacks. This model eliminates the need for extensive operational overhead.
Traditional technology firms lag far behind in this metric. Nvidia reports $3.6 million per employee, Apple $2.4 million, and Meta $2.2 million. OnlyFans ranks a distant third at $37.6 million per employee.
Hyperliquid's revenue growth has accelerated sharply since December, demonstrating the scalability of decentralized finance models. The team focuses exclusively on protocol development, leaving market operations to algorithmic systems.
